Dr Uri Hochberg
Pain Specialist
Dr Hochberg is an Internal Medicine and Pain Physician, specialized in Oncological Pain. At Ichilov Hospital I run an oncology clinic with an emphasis is on minimally invasive treatments for pain relief. I also co-manage a clinic focused on intractable cancer pain.

My patients usually suffer from various types of pain including: cancer related pain, skeletal muscle pain (also known as “Myo-Fascial” Pain), lower back pain, upper and neck “sciatica”, secondary pain for slipped disc, neuropathic pain (from nerve damage) and pain from herpes zoster (shingles), as well as headaches and chronic pain after surgery.
I offer a wide range of treatments from simple and conservative treatments such as dry acupuncture to minimally invasive procedures for nerves, muscles, skeletons, and spinal cord. These typically result in significant pain relief and a reduction in dosage of anti-pain medication.
Memberships
I graduated from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem's medical school, specializing in Internal Medicine and Pain Medicine at Ichilov Hospital, Tel Aviv. I gained experience in supportive care as a regional physician in home hospice service. During my clinical fellowship at McGill University, Montreal, I focused on minimally invasive approaches to relieve oncology patients' pain.

Pain is a multifaceted experience with biological and psychological components. Each patient's pain is unique, requiring a personalized approach. In my clinic, I prioritize understanding the patient's background, including occupation, hobbies, and personal history, to tailor effective treatments based on a comprehensive understanding of their pain mechanisms.
